Classification Of Clothing Questions asked

Resolved Question: Need advice on financial software?

I've been using MS Money for a while now, but find it absolutely horrible. What I'm trying to do is super simple conceptually, and I'm looking for advice on how I can either A) accomplish it with Money or B) switch to something that can accomplish it. I want the ability to categorize my categories. I have 100s of categories/sub-categories (Rent, Bills: Cable, Bills: Water/Sewage, Personal: Clothing, Personal: Sporting Goods, etc...). That is obviously just a few, but you get the idea. I want to create Category Buckets into which I can place those categories, and I want only 3: Wants Needs Savings EVERY category can be classified as one of those 3. I want to keep all my transactions as they are today (they are already categorized and I do not want to change it). I just want to display a pie char that shows me what percentage of my Net income goes to Wants, what % to Needs and what % to Savings. I do not want to export the data and create a graph in Excel. Does anyone know how I can do this with either Money or some other piece of software? I tried using the Budget in money, but it didn't do what I wanted. I also tried Classifications but that didn't work either. Also tried creating "favorite reports" but still no dice. I'm going crazy -- this has to be possible! Any help would be appreciated.  more

Resolved Question: emo? what do you think?

A subculture known for black fingernails, angled bangs and rock music, popular among some Russian teenagers, is under attack. On Monday, the Department of Education of the Nizhny-Novgorod oblast called for a campaign to combat a movement known as “emo”. The classification, which originated from an independent music movement in the United States, is short for “emotional,” and now relates as much to a fashion style as a genre of music. The Department’s move comes after the local branch of the Federal Security Service Directorate (UFSB) brought forth a report describing repeated instances of “unconventional religious trends, and civic organizations disseminating ideas of a negative youth subculture.” The information first became public from a circular published by the Education Department. The document, in part, reads: “According to information from the Nizhny-Novgorod oblast UFSB, the oblast is seeing the growth of ideas of the emo negative youth subculture, which are connected with suicidal tendencies of teenagers 12-16 years of age.” The text then vividly describes the emo stereotype: clothing with pink and black colors and two-toned designs. Blue-black hair. Long bangs. Fingernails painted black. Piercings. The FSB informed the educators that “the emo ideology negatively influences the unformed teenage psyche. According to the ideology, its members are immortal, and each one’s dream is to die of blood-loss in a warm bath, by cutting the veins on the wrist region. Many of the teenagers are depressed, withdrawn in their thoughts, and the girls are very inclined toward suicide on account of unrequited love. The young people drawn to the emo movement imagine that they have an ‘allergy to happiness.’” the style can look great/the funny thing is its about being yourself but you see a crowd dresst the same ,  more

Resolved Question: what should muslims do on friday?

Friday bath, Muslims & cleanliness! http://www.milligazette.com/Archives/15052002/1505200245.htm “Excuse me, Sir. I was told that you are a Muslim? ” “Well in that case, I would like to know, how do you people manage with only one bath a week? he asked. Possibly less out of ignorance and more to vilify me, he continued in the same vein. ”I understand that you people take bath only on Jumma, that is Fridays?” Ignoring the clear sarcasm in his tone, I said, “Yes you may be right..” I paused. “It is true that Muslims do take bath on Fridays, but they also take bath on the eve of their festivals. They also bath after burying their dead. The Muslim males take bath every time they ejaculate for any reason. Muslim females also take bath at the end of their menses. Muslim couples take bath after having sex. This is over and above the daily routine bath one undertakes as a matter of habit.” “Do you know gentleman,” I continued, ”Muslims wash their genitals after passing urine? Do you also know that prior to each prayer five times a day, Muslims perform what is known as Ablution (Wudu), whereby they wash off all those parts of the body which are exposed to environmental pollution?” Is it out of sheer ignorance or systematic vilification campaign, one cannot decide for sure, but giving the benefit of doubt to all our friends who are not only awfully ignorant about Muslims and Islam but are also vulnerable to disinformation campaigns, we would like to give them a brief idea of the concept and practice of cleanliness in Islam. The importance of cleanliness in Islam can be gauged from this simple fact that most of the Books of Ahadith (Prophet’s deeds and sayings) and also the Books of Fiqh (Sharia) start with a chapter on Taharah that is cleanliness. (In fact the meaning and spirit behind the concept of Taharah is much beyond the superficiality of the conventional cleanliness). This particular chapter starts with the classification of water and goes on to describe how water gets impure or polluted, modes and methods of purification of water and host of other topics. This chapter ends with a concluding topic of ‘how Muslims should bath their dead?’ Muslims go much beyond the superficial and cosmetic concept of ‘Manicure & Pedicure’ imported from the West. They do not believe in the technology which combines toilet papers with odor-masking perfumes. Muslim males are required to get circumcised so that even faint traces of urine are not entrapped in the foreskin of the genitals. The fruit of such a clean practice is borne out by the results of studies carried out by Prof. Schot of Australia, in the African AIDS belt, where to his surprise he discovered that the occurrence of this fatal disease was least among those who practiced circumcision. Dr. Advani of Tata Cancer Research Institute, Mumbai, also confirmed that Muslim women constitute the least percentage among the victims of vaginal cancer. The observation, he said, can only be explained by the fact that their males are circumcised. Muslims are duty bound to shave off their armpits and pubic hair as a matter of routine practice. The males are also instructed to trim their moustaches in order to keep them clear of oral intakes. Our beloved Prophet strictly prohibited his followers to consume onion and garlic (indicating thereby any foul smelling consumable including cigarettes) before going to any congregational prayer in mosques, lest they offend fellow companions praying next to them. Brushing of teeth ( once in a day ) is very recent development of near past. Muslims are known to use Miswak, the herbal brush for the past 1400 years, five times a day prior to each ablution, as recommended by their Prophet. Cleanliness is inbuilt in Islamic Sharia, as prerequisite to every form and mode of worship. Be it the recital of the holy Qur’an, offering of the five daily prayers, fasting or the Hajj. In fact a Muslim cannot offer his obligatory prayers with unclean body, clothes or using dirty premises. The Holy Qur’an instructs the faithful to ”keep their clothes clean” (74:4). They are also made to imbibe this very message that “Allah loves those who are clean.” (2:222). In fact to what length and breadth, Islam goes on to take care of its followers in respect of personal hygiene, can be exemplified by the afore-mentioned verse whereby Muslims are categorically prohibited to have sex with their mates during menses. Well at this juncture someone may start feeling that Islam prescribes much more stringent code of cleanliness than they ever thought. They are not wrong. But they are not fully correct too! The emphasis in Islam is more on the cleanliness of the inner-self, that is heart, mind and soul. The external cleaning process and rituals in reality are the preparatory ground work to achieve the more important task and that is cleanliness of the inner-self, which is the ultimate goal of the religion. - Moin Don (moindon@yahoo.com)  more

In a double-spaced, type-written, 500-word essay you will write about observations you made while making two trips to the same public place. You will go to a public place of your choice – library, coffee shop, restaurant, crowded street corner, retail shop, etc. – and spend one half hour there making observations. Use all your senses – hearing, watching, etc. – to record your material for the essay. Listen to scraps of dialogue and note how people interact with one another – are they angry, sad, happy, polite, negative, positive, etc? Go back a second time a couple of days or so later and record those happenings. Do the same thing and then when done make note of any changes you saw while there the second time. You will be using the patterns of development we will eventually discussing such narration (tell a story as if you were telling a friend), description (color of clothes, eye color, sizes of people, what the room looks like), classification (what kinds of people like young, old, bald, hairy, Republicans, Democrats, Christians, atheists), and comparison (how some are different from the others). Resolved Question: Why are "lost books" or writings from the Dead Sea Scrolls not in the Holy Bible?

I am NOT referring to The seven Deutero-Canonical books, missing from non-Catholic Bibles. There is no early writing that will surprise the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church has seen it all. When the gospel of Thomas was released in the late 50`s many Christians didn`t even know apocryphal writings existed alongside the canonical texts or that the Church was inundated with heretical beliefs; such as, Gnosticism. The Catholic Church has known for centuries the existence of apocryphal writings. Many are extant today, but many are known by name alone. The apocryphal writings were basically divided into two areas: those that were primarily orthodox but never accepted as inspired/canonical(epistle of Barnabas) and those that were heretodox (Acts of Thomas). The gospel of Judas was the latter, heterodox. As was their habit, early heresies attempted to popularize their belief system by developing fictional texts and attribute them to an Apostle (usually one that did not make into the canonical 27 book NT) themselves or early disciple. Some of the more popular gnostic apocryphal texts are: the gospel of Thomas, the gospel of Mathias, acts of Thomas, and the gospel of Philip. The gospel of Judas was known by the early Catholic Church as heretical and was a favorite text of the gnostic cainite sect. Cainites revered those who resisted the God of the Jews; such as, Cain and Judas Iscariot. "Since it was the practice of the heretical sects, especially the Gnostics, to write gospels in support of their peculiar doctrines there existed a large number of such apocryph. Most of them we know only by name, as for instance, the Gospel of Judas Iscariot, was used by the Gnostic sect of the Cainites. " "Besides these Gospels, we know that there once existed a Gospel of Bartholomew, a Gospel of Thaddeus, mentioned in the decree of Pope Gelasius, and a Gospel of Judas Iscariot in use among the Cainites and spoken of by St. Irenaeus Gnosticism was a heretical tradition prevalent from the NT times through the 4th century. It`s basic tenant is that all matter is evil and that one must rid oneself of all materiality in order to obtain the truth and salvation. In other words, redemption and salvation is reserved only for the spirit not the body. Gnosticism is also a thinly disguised form of pantheism which includes unknown gods and various emanations with varying classifications, rankings and names (such as those mentioned in the gospel of Judas - Sophia, Barbelo, Aeons, Nebro, Yaldabaoth, & Saklas etc). We find several citations on behalf of Gnosticism in the small extant gospel of Judas: For example, the following citation affirms the gnostic hatred for all things material: "Jesus said . . . But you [Judas Iscariot] will exceed them all. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me. " KMW p7 In other words, Jesus needed to rid himself of his evil material body. Similarly, we find the fictional gnostic cosmology strewn through out the gospel of Judas: "His name was Nebro, which means "rebel"; others call him Yaldabaoth. Another angel, Saklas, also came from the cloud . . . The first is [S]eth, who is called Christ. The [second] is Harmathoth . . . The [third] is Galita. The [fourth] is Yobel. The fifth [is] Adonaios. " KMW p5-6 In short, the gospel of Judas was never embraced by the Church as an inspired canonical text because it was not the writings of an apostle but the fictional writing of the gnostic heresy. Many today are trying to purport that the gospel of Judas is some long lost gospel unknown to the Catholic Church and missing from the NT canon. However, as I wrote above the Catholic Church has already weighed in on this issue many times in the past. The great and venerable Church Father St. Irenaeus, the bishop of Lyon, who provided the nail in the coffin on this heretical work 1800 years ago: "Others again declare that Cain derived his being from the Power above, and acknowledge that Esau, Korah, the Sodomites, and all such persons, are related to themselves. On this account, they add, they have been assailed by the Creator, yet no one of them has suffered injury. For Sophia was in the habit of carrying off that which belonged to her from them to herself. They declare that Judas the traitor was thoroughly acquainted with these things, and that he alone, knowing the truth as no others did, accomplished the mystery of the betrayal; by him all things, both earthly and heavenly, were thus thrown into confusion. They produce a fictitious history of this kind, which they style the Gospel of Judas." Good old St. Irenaeus -- pertinent more today than ever!  more

Resolved Question: Why can't the scientific knowledge of God written in The Bible be taught in public schools science classes?

God's knowledge of the germ theory, advanced zoology, advanced marine biology, cloning, genetic engineering, trans genetics, advanced disease prevention through surface contact, the spread of airborne diseases, contagious skin diseases, convalescence of women after childbirth, classification of land animals by their internal digestive system and even or odd number of toes, knowledge of every insect on earth, human health and nutrition, the health hazards of green mold and mildew on clothing and on walls of houses, sexually transmitted diseases, the health hazards of human inbreeding, the human only health benifits of cooking our food, disease prevention by circumcision of the human male penis, plus many more I'll leave out right now because I'm the only one in the world that knows it. Isn't this enough scientific proof of pre- human scientific knowledge belonging to a non-human scientific mind of a "Intellegent Designer" who the world calls "God"? Resolved Question: classification systems???

What can I write about classification systems? This is what I have so far... Society classifies us based on many things, such as what clothes we wear, where we live, and what ethnicity someone is. Some of these classifications are unfair, while others are fair. For example, as seen in paragraph one, I was unfairly classified because of pre-conceived notions about Americans. I believe that everyone in society is classified does anybody have any other ideas??? thankx so much!!!  more

Resolved Question: Why aren't males allowed to wear high stiletto heeled shoes for any of their social activities?

There are risks in every thing we do and wearing high heels is no exception. However, I am only dealing with one's right of choice and not all the other reasons people claimed whether or not to wear heels. Some how people got the idea, a design of footwear automatically gives it a sex classification. In reality, the high spike or stiletto heeled shoe has no sex qualities of its own. As a thing or an object, it is only a commodity. As an article of clothing, its wearer may claim ownership, but still it is an ornament of foot adornment or protection. Due to its design, a person's walk and profile may change through it's use, but this still doesn't qualify its sex. Society dictates the use of the high heeled shoe. Due to this dictation, many people have become bigoted against males, who want to excercise their choice of footwear in public. This social attitude puts people down, causes alot of unnecessary hardship, and restricts an already occupied mind from an even greater potential.  more

Resolved Question: Have the size classifications of clothing changed?

This question comes as a result of purchasing a new article of clothing that is IDENTICAL to a favorite that already hangs in the closet (according to the label): the size, the material, the washing instructions, the manufacturer, and the retailer are ALL THE SAME for both articles of clothing. However, to get the same FIT, I had to move UP three (3) sizes! I was so bummed b/c I thought that my weight had increased, but a scale in my home and a scale at my doctors' office both confirm that my weight hasn't changed in five (5) years. So, what's the deal? Are manufacturers using less material and labelling the clothing in the same size class anyway? I think I'm beginning to understand WHY anorexia/bulemia is so prevalent today...  more

Resolved Question: Do you think this is a bad example to use in my paper?

I'm writing a persuasive essay on why we should wear uniforms at my high school. My teacher said I should add an emotional appeal in my paragraph about equality. In the paragraph I talk about how uniforms cause less chance of judging and cliques. As an example, I thought about writing a tiny bit about the Columbine massacre, which I've done a little research on before. The boys targeted anyone with a white hat (as well as many other classifications) but certain clothing was one thing the boys looked for. So, do you think I should put it in my paper, or is it too extreme? After all, massacres like Columbine don't happen very often.  more

Resolved Question: Misses vs. Juniors sizing?

I see divisions in the women's wear for all different body shapes, but I have yet to find a clear definition for the difference between "Misses" and "Juniors." Is Juniors meant to be teenage clothing, while Misses is adult clothing? That, of course, would be a difference in style. Or is it meant to be a classification of size, with Misses being the same style as Juniors but a wider or taller cut? Thanks for any insights.  more
